Stronger Co. exists to support survivors of abuse and betrayal in marriage. Affairs happen in approximately 68 percent of marriages. Abuse and betrayal are running rampant in our culture, and sadly the numbers aren’t any different in our churches. At Stronger Co. we seek to provide the support these women need, and to provide that support from an abuse and trauma informed perspective, as well as from a faith based, biblical perspective. We believe that the church is strongest when all of its members are strong. Stronger members equal a stronger body. Spouses who have suffered adultery, abuse, or abandonment make up at least one third of the members in our local churches. These people are also raising future (and current) tiny members of the body of Christ, creating an exponential trauma effect in the church.
We have also discovered that many people in the church want to help but they don’t know where to begin. In addition to the individual and group support we offer to survivors, we also offer training and support to church staff and ministry leaders so that the church can become the safe place God intended it to be, for women experiencing abuse and betrayal to heal.
